GIACOMO VANELLI
Museo Alla Permanente (Sound Design, 2025)

Opposites United: The Eclipse is a transformed and transformative space, conceived in accordance with the foundational principles of Kia’s design philosophy. It is a place where collective transformations become possible through a fluid and integrated participatory dynamic, enabled by a spatial configuration that orbits around a stage incorporating the structure of an amphitheater. Almost like an ancient structure projected into the future—integrated with contemporary materials and design concepts—this space bears witness to a collective event where there are no mere spectators, only active participants in a shared discourse. This space tells a story: it welcomes, like residual waves of a celestial transformation, an ongoing and resonant debate that amplifies discursive and collective methodologies. It is the ideal environment for strengthening the community foundation, a place that reflects both the circularity of planetary motion and the dialectical nature of knowledge production through opposites.

Luca Locatelli

Vanelli contributed to The Circle, a photography exhibition by Luca Locatelli at Gallerie d’Italia in Turin, by creating the soundscape that accompanied the visual narrative. Locatelli's work focuses on the interaction between humans, nature, and technology, and Vanelli's sound design offered an immersive auditory extension of these themes, deepening the audience's engagement with the images.
Monica Manganelli

Giacomo Vanelli has also collaborated with award-winning visual artist and filmmaker Monica Manganelli, creating soundscapes for one of her experimental video installations. His modular synth compositions added layers of atmospheric depth to Manganelli's visually rich and emotive works, allowing for a multisensory journey for the audience.
